Behind the Scenes…
Looking back now, it seems natural to combine my love for food with my competitive personality and dive into the cooking competition world. That is certainly not how this journey started. I still clearly remember getting a phone call from the Daily Herald, and having a moment of hesitation wondering if this person was seriously calling to feature me in a newspaper? Luckily, I stayed on the phone, because that one call launched Team Fiocchi.
I found out much later a friend that submitted my name and story to the local newspaper for the Cook of the Week section. That one small act of kindness helped me build confidence in the kitchen and provided many opportunities to compete.
None of this would be possible without my team - my friends and family! They are my recipe testers, creative team, photographers, hairstylists, graphic designers, and equally my biggest critics and biggest cheerleaders!
